So, Adam, Emily, and I went to the Art Institute of Chicago last Sunday. The museum recently added its first addition since the 1800s, the Modern Wing. It houses the Art Institute’s—big surprise here—modern art collection. We had a great time wandering through British modern art from 1950 to the present and the American modern art collection, both from 1945 to 1960, and from 1960 to the present.
This video is from of Adam (and some random guy) participating in an interactive video installation. When the spider web is whole, it says, “Being not truthful works against me.” Ain’t that the truth.
If you look at the lower right hand side of the frame, you can see the sensor. As you wave your hands, it manipulates the video, to the point that it can tear itself apart. Luckily, it just regenerates itself. Sometimes I wish that would work in real life.
Photo set to come!
